Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool first appeared in The New Mutants episode # 98, February 1991. HIT THE WOAH T-SHIRT. According to Nicieza, Liefeld takes on the role of designing, naming the character, and Nicieza creating the character of the character. Liefeld is a fan of the Teen Titans comic, then he proposed the idea of a new character for Fabian Nicieza. Nicieza then contacted Liefeld saying "this character is exactly like Teenstans' Deathstroke." Nicieza named Deadpool the real name "Wade Wilson" closely resembling "Slade Wilson" - Deathstroke. In his first appearance, Deadpool was hired by Tolliver to attack the Cable and New Mutants group.
